Cheryl Twiss, CASE | Vice President of Sales
Cheryl Twiss joined the Newport Hospitality team over ten years ago, carrying with her a vibrant sales and hospitality background. In 2006, after spending thirteen years in Newport as the Senior Sales Manager for the Hyatt Regency, Newport Marriott, and the Hotel Viking, specializing in booking business in the Association market, Cheryl became Director of Sales at Newport Hospitality. She has since become a valued and dedicated member of the hospitality industry, serving for two years as the Chairwoman of Women in Hospitality, supporting local hospitality and tourism committees, and recently taking on various leadership roles in the DMC Network sales effort. In 2014 Cheryl was promoted to Vice President of Sales and in this position plays an integral role on the Newport Hospitality Team, vitalizing the sales effort with new and creative industry offerings as well as sharing a wealth of local and regional knowledge with partners and clients.
Among Cheryl’s long-list of industry achievements, a few of her most notable accomplishments in recent years have been:
- Hospitality and Tourism Association's Woman of the Year in 2007
- Netty Award for Sales Leadership for the DMC Network in 2013
- Netty Award for Most Converted Leads for the DMC Network in 2019
When she's not promoting Rhode Island as an amazing New England destination for a group or conference, Cheryl enjoys yoga, farm-to-table cooking, and power-walking.
